From the VEX worlds 2016 team FAQ:
Q: Will all the pits be in one space?
A: The team pits will be in multiple halls. The halls are connected and the pits will be organized by division.

Can you confirm this means teams will be grouped by division rather than the sequential team number scheme of 2015?

Teams will be grouped in sequential order, according to the following:

  1. VEX IQ Elementary School Teams will be in the same pit area in sequential order,
  2. VEX IQ Middle School Teams will be in the same pit area in sequential order,
  3. VRC Middle School Teams will be in the same pit area in sequential order,
  4. VRC High School Teams will be in the same pit area in sequential order, and
  5. VEX U teams will be in the same pit area in sequential order.

Thus VRC HS team 123 would be placed between VRC HS teams 122 and 124, however, VRC MS team 121 will not be placed next to VRC HS team 122. I hope that this helps. Each program and grade level have separate pit areas.
