Plastic Dust in Holes of Beams and on Shafts

In the holes of the plastic beams for all m mechanisms (drivetrain, intake and catapult), the is a substansial amount of plastic dust forming from the friction of the metal shafts and the plastic framework. It has even gone so far that I have an oval hole on a 4x10 plate!

is there really any way to reduce, stop this, or am I stuck with damaged parts and bogged-down mechanisms. Also, Would this plate even be legal because of the oval hole?

Warping plastic is indeed a problem with the Vex IQ system. Doubling up the plastic plates on high-stress areas like the places where the axles, especially drivetrain axles, go through helps with reducing the damage to the plates because it splits the force from the axle between more plastic.

I’m not sure about the competition legality of this, but you could theoretically bend the hole back into a circular shape with pliers.
