I recently purchased the dual action pneumatic kit. I have been able to make it work but it loses most of its pressure by itself (without use) within 5 minutes. If I close the blue stop valve, it will keep the pressure. I haven’t been able to identify a leak. Do you have any suggestions?
freetrader0000,
How about a sink or soapy water?
The leak rate you describe shouldn’t be all that hard to find. If you’re comfortable immersing the NONelectric parts, you could put the thing under water and look for bubble trails. If you’d like a slightly gentler approach, dilute some liquid soap (dishwashing liquid (the kind intended to be used by hand, NOT the kind for dishwashers) is the traditional choice) in water, and spread or spray it on the connections (both those between components/tubing and those that are parts of the components).
If the leak is at one of the tubing fittings, take it apart, make sure you have a clean, square end on the tubing and that there’re no shreds of tubing (or other bits) in the fitting and try again. It may be helpful to work the fitting a few times without tubing in it to make sure it moves freely.
Happy Hunting,
Eric
