Is there a good reason that the pneumatic tubing has to be black.? I have a team with 14 pneumatic cylinders. It would make so much sense for their tubing to be different colors for organization and maintenance.
VEX equivalent pneumatic tubing is available in different colors.
There is no good reason, other than the game manual requires it. A few years ago, you could use any color tubing, but not anymore. Unless you’re a VEX-U team.
I’d recommend wire wrap labels that are made for power cables. You can get letters and numbers and label tubes on the ends, middle, etc.

Exactly. There is no doubt this is the rule. The question is why. We want these young engineers to be able to work on their robots in an organized way. Clearly labels and tags are options - but the better option is colored tubing. This would be an easy rule change for VEX to make. Frustrating.
