I am not sure if this was answered already in this forum but I was wondering if you can use pneumatic tubing without using pneumatics on the robot and sti have the max amount of motors

As per <R12>

Option 2: A VEX ARM Cortex-based Microcontroller, up to twelve (12) 2-Wire Motors or VEX Servos (in any combination up to twelve) and no pneumatic components, excluding pneumatic tubing

Option 4: A V5 Robot Brain, up to eight (8) V5 Smart Motors, and no pneumatic components, excluding pneumatic tubing.

Can you use v5 wires on a robot but they are not plugged in and serve a purpose

There’s no rule stopping you from doing so that I’m aware of, but if you’re intending to use the wire and/or pneumatic tubing as a sort of cable, an unlimited amount of 1/8’’ braided nylon rope might be a better option
