Pneumatics reservoirs

how many pneumatic Reservoirs are we aloud to use per robot in this years competition?

As far as I know, its 1. You can also check this stuff out on the game manual

Edit: Scratch that, its two.

Okay Thank You i will check it out

You’ll want to look at R26 on page 31 of the game manual: https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/vrc-tower-takeover/GameManual-20190816.pdf

@CarCar he’s referring to the tanks that store air, not the pistons themselves. Thus, reservoirs would be the correct term.

both are used. Here’s a document that may be helpful for using pneumatics: pneumatics information.pdf (312.6 KB)

Just for clarity, there is no limit on the number of pneumatic cylinders you can use, just the number of reservoirs (or air tanks).

This is a pneumatic reservoir:

Pneumatic reservoirs store pressurized air for later use.

Your robot can have a maximum of two reservoirs.

This is a pneumatic cylinder (sometimes incorrectly called a piston):

Air flows into a cylinder to extend or retract the central component (the thing the nut is threaded on to in the photo above), creating linear motion.

There is no limit on the number of pneumatic cylinders you can use on your robot.
