Pneumatics Solenoid Problems

My team and I are currently working on a mogo mech but the pneumatics are not working. Whenever we have the code running and press the buttons that are for the pistons, the solenoid makes a clicking sound. We cant seen to find a solution. We’ve tried swapping the solenoid out for a new one and changed the code. Did we use the wrong fittings? Is the solenoid broken? We are using the new V5 pneumatics kit. Thanks in advance.

How are we supposed to know if you used the wrong fittings or put them in a wrong place if we don’t have a picture. Cmon

Typically when this happens, the air is not able to even reach the solenoid. Thats why it clicks. There may be some leak or incorrect pressure regualtor setting. Would be more helpful with a pic.

It seems like you have your system tubed wrong. The output from the solenoid is the two holes you have plugged in. I would base your system on the tubing diagram below, and it should (hopefully) fix the issue.

Here’s your issue.

The 2 ports you plugged are actually where the output of the air goes.

The 2 ports on the side are just holes that allow air straight through the solenoid, and you should instead plug one of the side holes and use the 2 output holes for piston control. It is making the clicking noise because it is doing its job, however its just letting air in and out of the 2 plugged ports, which doesnt really do anything.

Diagram if you need one
