Anybody have ideas or things already made to climb the pole, currently my team is using a 6-bar scissor lift. It works quite well we just had to change some measurements and we were good, also is anybody using an elevator lift. Just curious on how it works.
My team made a 4 bar lift to get an E-tier climb. The rest of this robot is very basic since we focused mainly on the climb, so we have made a lot of big changes while we are preparing for states. In the early season, we saw a RI3D design called “gainz” also on YouTube. They made a 6-bar lift. There is also team 1469a which has built at least 2 pole-climbing robots early on this season, might want to check out their videos

We currently have a bar lift similar to Gainz, but our shooter takes up too much space for the room for one that big, that is why I had to change some measurements on our bar lift.
And forgive my typo on the first post, I meant bar lift.
I recommend using the elevation bar instead of the long pole. Most people dont have the time to climb the pole and getting the elevation bar is much easier. Our robot just grabs onto the elevation bar and locks itself onto it by doing a pull up with pnuematics.
