The “Power On” light illuminates, but the “No Data/Radio” light does not, nor does the four-digit display. I also am not getting any data over the Tether or Dashboard cables. Has anybody had this problem before? I’m hoping there’s an easy fix, because this hardware is fairly expensive, and my team is breathing down my neck to get it working again. Thanks in advance.
There is no easy fix for this problem. The main microprocessor is not “coming up". You will need to contact us for an RMA # so that you can send that unit in for repair.
My 2002 Operator Interface is not detecting the radio modem. The “power on” LED is the only light that is illuminated when using an AC power adapter. The “No Data/Radio” light doesn’t come on and the radio doesn’t come on. When connected using the Tether Port, the OI works as normal.
Since the unit works on Tether, be sure you are using the AC Power Adapter we recommend at http://www.ifirobotics.com/oi.shtml. If you are using a different adapter, be sure your adapter can supply 9 Volts at 1.5 Amps when loaded. Most COTS AC Power Adapters only supply about .8 amps at 9 volts and will not work.
