Prevent tray hinges from loosening

We have a competition coming up so our traybot has been under some relatively heavy testing. Due to this, the tray keeps bending back due to the weight of 10 cubes. We are using nylock nuts. Other than just tightening the screws on the plates we use as hinges is there anything else we can do?

add C channel to the sides of the tray and that helps alot. We had this problem since it looked like a banana and the c channels did a miracle

and add c channel underneath so the next tray has something to rest on. It doesnt have to be long but if has touch the next tray a little.

If they are getting loose with nylocks then likely the nylon within the nylocks are worn and you should replace the nylocks to new ones.

we have a very different tray than most people. Our tray is a 5 wide c channel in the middle with standoffs going out holding plexiglass. For the hinge, we use an actual vex hinge, and the cubes slide right over it. works really good and the cubes literally cant fall out

If your nylocks are getting loose, then either the nylon is worn out, or there is not enough screw threads that is going through the nylock to actually reach the nylon at the end. If that is the problem, then you could just put the nylock on backwards. This works well for my team.
