Do you have any issues with the connectors coming out of the brain / motors / gyro /touch LED?

Are the tabs broken, is that why they are coming loose? They are like standard phone cable with a self locking tab on them. If the tab breaks off, then yes, they can come loose. Otherwise, no, the tab keeps the cable connected in. You should hear a click when you put them in. If you don’t hear the click then they are not seated properly.

The cord might be too short or long but it’s not fully in until you hear the click.
