we are having difficulty getting vexnet keys to pair up both old and newer 2.0 keys… they used to be mated but now wont bind… Any help or links to a Vex procedure would be most appreciated. I searched the forums but found nothing specific. Thanks again.

We’re sorry to hear you are having difficulties pairing your VEXnet keys. First thing you should make sure is that you are only pairing white VEXnet 2.0 keys with white VEXnet 2.0 keys and black VEXnet keys with black VEXnet keys. You should also make sure the Joystick and Cortex have VEXnet firmware v4.0 or higher and that your VEXnet keys are using the latest firmware. Firmware update utilities can be found here.
After all firmware is up to date, you should be able to pair your devices by plugging a USB A-A cable between the Cortex and Controller and powering on the Cortex. After the VEXnet LED has turned solid green for at least 5 seconds, you can disconnect the USB cable and connect the VEXnet keys. The pairing procedure is explained in detail here.
