Programming a brake

How do I program a brake in a motor to hold on to an object? We use RobotC.

There is no specific way to program “brake” on the motors for the VEX EDR system. To hold an object, I suggest you send a small motor value of about 25 or lower. If for example you are using a claw, when the button is pressed to close it, send full power for perhaps 2 seconds and then switch to lower power to gold objects.
