Reading through this thread, sounds to me like the shaft wasn’t inserted into the motor, so the motor was spinning but the wheel wasn’t turning. Switching from a metal to plastic shaft wouldn’t have inherently solved the problem, but taking the thing apart and putting it back together again, with the shaft correctly inserted this time, would have.

that was the problem- even with the plastic shaft, i could still hear the motorised spinning
didnt change the code, just the shaft
and also it was a new motor and it needed to be updated
