Programming in Linux ARM Based Processor

Hi guys, Just asking. Is there any way for me to program VEX using my Chromebook with ARM processor running Linux + Chrome OS?

Yes

Either PROS (which is eclipse, gcc arm toolchain and a runtime library) or ConVEX (open source runtime library) should allow this. A comment from a previous satisfied customer.

Having said this, you will be pretty much on your own in getting this working.

hmn… seem difficult and complex plus risky, I’m not ready enough for that. maybe I can just go on with someone install Modkit link on the other pc and I’m just using Modkit on my ChromeBook. Thank you very much

Modkit is for VEX IQ and (not as far as I know) available for VEX EDR, so are you working with VEX IQ? If so, you should visit the IQ forum here http://www.vexiqforum.com.

I’m actually working for both. Before I’m just using the Robot C 4.X. Since many things happen lately now I just have the ARM based Chromebook. I just need new laptop soon. Thanks again Jpearman.

A version of our Robot Mesh Blockly/Python (for both VEX IQ and VEX EDR Cortex) which works on the Chromebook is currently in development. If you email me at [EMAIL=“[email protected]”][email protected] then I should be able to send you a beta version to try in about a week.

Regards,
Anthony

I already sent the email, thanks
