Note that one great advantage the community supported forums have over official answer forums is that there are many more people willing and usually able to respond to questions both simple and complex. ( Also consider that an EasyC support question in the RobotC forum is likely to be ignored.)
A question like this “how do I program X” or “How do I use X for this purpose Y” is more likely to get a good and timely answer from the community forum, than from the tech forum. The Tech forum might be better for tech questions about X, rather than about USING X.

Mechanum setup is basically same as Omniwheel setup and both are generally refered to as Holonomic. See detailed discussions here with lots of programming examples as well, or otherwise do a search on Holonomic.
I heard a report that EasyCv4 for Cortex had a “Holonomic Drive” subroutine included, similar to “Arcade drive” and “Tank drive”.
