I can’t find this anywhere else, so I’ll ask here. Does Virtual Worlds work with PROS? I’ve never used it, but I’m assuming it’s RobotC only, right? And if I can’t use it with PROS, is there any simulation software that does (that does or will have In the Zone support)?
RobotC-only to my knowledge.
I doubt any such simulation software exists (other than RVW of course) and definitely don’t know of any.
Ask the question here
RVW does not work with PROS. RVW is closely tied to RobotC and uses the RobotC virtual machine for execution.
Robot Mesh Studio includes a built-in CAD system that you can use today to build VEX IQ robots and then program them just like they are real robots. We showed a development version of the EDR version at VEX Worlds, and will deliver it before the start of the next school year (September 1 or earlier). This is not like RVW in the sense that we do not offer robots that you can build and operate in a virtual world, but what it will do is allow you to assemble VEX IQ and VEX EDR parts to build robots, and then program them in a virtual space. It’s more of a design-and-build system than a virtual game environment.
You can try the CAD-and-program interface today, for free, with VEX IQ at on the Robot Mesh Studio page. If you are interested in being part of a VEX EDR summer beta test, send me an email at [email protected].
