Kind of off topic but I’m having trouble downloading PROS. First I download the 32bit installer and installed the PROS Application
and I had trouble opening it so I then downloaded the 64bit installer which is the right bit for my laptop and when I tried to open the installer it gave me the error that said
Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
I tried to use Add/Remove to remove PROS but it was not there. Does anyone have tips or can point me in the right direction to ask
Double click on the installer for pros 32 bit installer again, and a configuration menu would pop up to install, modify, and remove.
Also when you are installing pros, the pros e___ something, forgot the name of it but it starts with “PROS E…” and it may be unchecked(I’m not at home, so I don’t know the exact name. I had a similar problem of not being able to find it on my laptop) , check that on the list(if it’s unchecked) before installing and you should be able to find pros by searching from the start menu after installation.
It’s possible you ended up forcefully killing it before the installation could finish installing or rolling back, resulting in a corrupted situation as yours.
Is there any mention of PROS if you run the following command in PowerShell (you can get PowerShell by click start and typing “PowerShell”)?
Get-WmiObject Win32_Product | Format-Table IdentifyingNumber, Name
