What are the size limits and I am thinking of making a robot like Ben Lipper’s Blockbuster in Full Volume.
GDC will be changing the rule soon, but currently you are limited to 22" diagonal (around 15x15 if both dimensions are the same).
(from their post a few days ago):
read the game manual. I mean like really? this is one of the easiest things to find in the manual? Take 5 seconds to open the game manual and go through the table of contents. 5 seconds man.
The size limits are found in the game manual https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/25-26/v5rc-push-back/docs/PushBack-GameManual-0.1.pdf
Please refer to the game manual. It tells how large a robot can start as and how much it can expand.
Hint
Check SG2 and SG3
18"x18"x18". Nobody outside of vex really knows what expansion will be.
It is just a 6-bar lift with roller intakes.
There are many past VRC games that made use of this configuration.
As for the size… will need to wait for 1 Aug updates for confirmation.
consider reading the game manual
also the full volume meta won’t even be useful in pb :/
What they said was …
It wouldn’t literally be the Full Volume meta, of course. It would simply have similarities to that general robot design. And I have to respectfully disagree with you about it’s usefulness. I do think that a robot similar to that with some obvious changes (like exchanging the filter for a redirect mechanism) would be very viable for the game.
