We made this just for fun and it was a surprisingly strong competitor. Not sure if it should be banned or not
All stars were scored by the pushbot.
Motor setup:
0 motor lift
0 motor intake
10 motor drive (too lazy to add the last 2)
2 battery

⌠I dont know how to respond to this
We have talked of doing this,
there is a team in Arizona that also has a linear slide pusher that can push the stars even farther under the fence.
Nice Job
Yes, this was fun to watch yesterday. But this is not just any old pushbot, itâs a âCameron Schillerâ pushbot, so I wasnât really surprised he went 6-0-0 and was in the finals.
V10 AMG
Now use the extra 2 motors for a high hang and this might just be the ultimate companion for a far zone scorer.
B-Team made a linear pusher that wasnât nearly as effective as this. New topic at next meeting
Cameronâs Driving skills also play a part in its effectiveness
OP plz nerf
Dang.
Ok, so this is great and all, and I have been planning on doing this for my next competition for a while now, but we all need to take a step back and think, âWow, this actually is a huge flaw in this game.â You just simply canât have a game where a drive base can be this effective! I donât care if its this early in the season, against developed robots like those in the video, there is absolutely no way this should be happening. I donât think there has ever been a Vex game in which a push bot can be this ridiculously effective.
Hahahaha. Just amazing. I love how effortlessly it destroys.
Hmm⌠combine this with a sideroller bot that can get objects into the far zone.
This happened at the south island challenge in BC yesterday.
Our H team just had a 4 motor pusher bot, but they were able to rank 8th and ended up as the 5th alliance captain. I saw their opponents snickering at the fact that they were going up against a pushbot in the semifinals, but they went on to beat the fourth and then first place alliances making it into the finals :d
Do you want to win, or do you want to win?
I totally agree on this - think most of the time people just focus on his robots. Think his driving skills is one of the most under-rated strengths.
Can we really build something like this and sweep everyone? That would be insane!!
This year, driving skill is huge. I went to a middle school competition this Saturday, and almost all the robots were identical. There were like 3 designs, max. And while these teams were not as experience as your likely opponents, even on reveal threads you can already see how most designs are dumpers. There can be some nice features, but overall there seems to be a basic drive, and a big arm to put things across. Not that thereâs anything nessesarily wrong with that, but the importantance of driver talent is huge.
Thanks Ethan!
They donât even have to be that good lol, all they need to do is send like 2 over a minute
