Good morning everyone, I have a few questions regarding the motor signal that the VEX PIC/ VEX CORTEX uses to control motor. I’m currently building a robot for team project and am looking for a dual channel motor controller that can take 12 and 10A or so. I’ve found an inexpensive one with good reviews, but it was designed more for arduino boards. For reference, it’s a Cytron MDD10A. It supports both sign magnitude and locked-antiphase PWM signals from a microcontroller. Would it be possible to use either of these with A VEX microcontroller?
That’s not going to work with the cortex, you want something that can accept hobby RC style control. Have a look at what Pololu has, there should be something there.
