I have a quick question regarding RobotC. I was wondering that if your school uses RobotC, could you get a discount or get RobotC for free for students who are wanting to purchase RobotC for home use? I know that Autodesk Inventor does this for students, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about RobotC doing this as well. Thanks in advance.
I am afraid not. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but RobotC also works with Arduino, so its for use by hobbyists as well as schools etc. I have actually wondered before if I could get it for free for home use.
Alright, thanks for the responses.
If you are just wanting to do coding at home so you don’t have to do it all at school, you can edit the “.c” file with any text editor and write your program that way and compile when you get to school.
cough PROS isn’t exactly “open source” cough
Yeah, I’d recommend the free options. Although, if your school already has RobotC then I guess there’s not much benefit.
Some info on the three
