Question Regarding Internal Motor Position

Quick question about the stored motor positions. If the motor continues to move after autonomous, due to its momentum, will the position continue to update? If I reference the position in driver control, will it accurately update its movements? Can’t test right now as I don’t have a comp switch and timed run jumps straight into driver control. I use vexCode Pro btw.

Yes, if the inertia causes it to continue moving, it would update the motor to the new degree. If it will affect something else in your code, you can use the MOTOR.spinToPosition(x, degrees) command to spin it to a preset position every time, no matter the angle it was at prior to the turn
