At a competition on Saturday, we almost lost a match because we were told by a referee that we can’t load driver control loads outside of the loading zone. I just went back through the game manual to see what I had missed, but I can’t find any rules that say that the balls can’t be loaded on the other side of the white line, in fact quite the opposite. Was this just a rule that all of the referees we talked to had wrong? Or am I missing something?
As long as your robot is touching the loading zone, it is allowed according to the rule. The only part I am uncertain about is the top right picture, because I can’t tell exactly what the illegal part is: is the robot not touching the loading zone, or is going outside of the climbing zone the illegal part?
I think the top right is illegal cause the ball has to be introduced into the loading zone and can’t introduced on the line or outside it.
