We are trying to fabricate our own team number plates, and I have mentioned the rules about self-made team number plates. The rules said that as long as the font and size of letters on the plate are legal and the the colors of the plate is feasible enough to recognize, the plates should be legal. Thus our team has used PolyCarbon with color to fabricate our own team number plates, and we are wondering whether it’s legal. The picture is about our plate, a piece of red transparent PolyCarbon, with white font and legal sized letters.

IMO, the font is on the verge of being hard to read. But, it looks like you’re a U-Team…and U-teams are much more chill than VRC, so you’re probably OK.
Nevertheless, the same advice I’d give to anyone using custom plates: keep a set of official plates in your back pocket in case the inspection referee has some issue.

Fire plates! Glad to see SJTU1 competing again, especially considering the state of VEXU in Mainland China last season. SJTU yyds!
(And for the record, I think the font used is the same as their team logo, which is also very fire)
