I want to add a lift system to a robot that has 6 motor flywheel (single), 4 motor drive (mech drive) and 2 motor intake and lift (diagonal). I was thinking about having a ratchet and pawl connected to the flywheel gearbox so that simply reversing the flywheel allows for my lift system to deploy. The lift system needs a ‘mating’ section that can be attached to our alliance robot. How feasible do you think this is. Our flywheel can run at similar levels with only 3 motors and our drive can work with 2 motors (loses strafe capability) I was wonder if anybody can tell me the feasibility of such a system. It’s definitely possible, with the shortage of motors that you have I would suggest something rubber band powered. if you could post a picture of your robot or how much it weighs I could give suggestions…
