Are you asking about using a USB 3.0 port on a PC to connect the A-A cable?

I am talking about using a usb 3.0 A-A cable to program and download to the brain from my computer.

Yes, USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0

NOT NECESSARILY!!!

USB 3.0 controllers come in many forms, I myself had issues with the USB 3.0 ports on my MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013 with PROS.

Yes yes I know the protocol is supposed to be backwards compatible but that doesn’t mean that it exactly is.

Oh, that’s just because it’s a mac…

They only problem that I knew that USB 3.0 has is that it can interfere with wireless devices (mice/keyboards).

Fair enough, however using a USB 2.0 hub, as suggested by @jpearman fixed the issue.

Thanks for the heads up, I think I will just go with a 2.0, have any 2.0 suggestions that are cheaper than the VEX cable?
