Recurring VexNET Key Issue

Hello, and thank you in advance for the help!

I have sunk quite a few hours into working with one of our club’s demo robots. We traded in all of our old keys for VexNET 2.0 keys, and I am in the process of setting up our classroom set. However, I have been encountering some issues.

The main issue is this: after being paired with a controller set, the robot then refuses to locate and pair remotely through VexNET keys. Both controller and core will blink yellow on VEX (which I assume means they are searching for each other), and then, after about 30 seconds, transition to a repeated pattern of two red blinks.

So far, I have tried the following: Powercycling, Updating RobotC, Re-installing the firmware on the Core, re-installing the firmware on the controller, downloading and running the two VexNET 2.0 update programming, installing a different program on the robot, changing key pairs, and changing the batteries.

So far, nothing has worked, and all I get to see is a little blinking red light at the end

I would be grateful for any help that you could offer with this issue!

Thank you so much for your time and all you do to help the community!

Hello MrKehs,

Thanks for vising out forum.
What I recommend is to update your whole system (Microcontroller, Joystick & Keys) using the firmware we have listed in our website. This means, you will have to install in your PC the following firmware update utilities:

VEXnet Firmware Upgrade Utility 4.1.5
VEXnet Key 2.0 Firmware Upgrade Utility 1.46

**
Once they are installed in your PC, let me know and I can go in further details.**

Regards.
