Referee FYI App Public Beta

Howdy All!

In the spirit of sharing tools, I figured it would make sense to show the referee anomaly log app I’ve been working on for the past couple months now

https://referee.fyi

  • Record match anomaly logs by match, and see citations by team, including summaries for each match.

  • Works offline* and stores all data locally on-device. The intention here that your phone doesn’t need to be continuously connected

  • Built in sharing system that allows users to synchronize anomaly log entries across multiple devices

The app is currently in Open Beta, with all initial enhancement completed, and now I’m in the stage where I’m fixing all the minor bugs and making usability improvements. It has been used successfully at a couple dozen events, including the recent Lambeau and Kalahari signature events. Feel free to try it out at your events and let me know if you run into any problems, or have any suggestions!

Very nice! Might give it a whirl this weekend.

Looks like it could be really useful! Previously I’ve kept track of these things in my notes app, but a dedicated solution is great. The UI feels far better than the VEX TM mobile app, too.

I am going to give this a try at a smaller event this weekend. I love seeing community tools like these being made. Makes me excited for the future.

Used it a few weeks ago. Great app!

Used it yesterday, incredibly useful!

I think we will be using this moving forward.

Referee team using at Regional championship, hugely helpful in communicating to teams what led to a DQ.

This was great yesterday at the middle school regional event I was reffing yesterday. We were able to share the notes between all 3 head referees. However, this morning, the share feature seems to be broken when we try to start sharing the high school event.

There was a bug this morning with the share codes this morning. Functionality should be restored now
