I’m having some trouble deciding on the best rendering workflow for Autocad Inventor.
In assembly mode you have the option of “Realistic” viewing and also “Ray Tracing”. These do a nice job of rendering the scene but are slow and you have to be careful not to reset the process by moving the model etc.
Inventor studio should be the place for final rendering but, unless I’m missing something, you cannot do realistic or ray traced rendering in this environment. Renders do not match the look shown on the main display if, for example, you have applied a textured material to a part. The choices for rendering seem to be limited to “shaded” and “Illustration”.
Anyone have advise on the best render workflow? Is there a third party application that can read the Autocad assembly file format and provide rendering?
