Team 188A proudly presents their robot for VEX world championships 2013 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3cpHazhVqs&feature=youtu.be
Great robot!
Looks like a very solid robot! Some questions I have:
- Is that a 3:5 ratio on 2.75" wheels?
- Does it drive over sacks?
- How are the polycarb flaps working out? It seems you guys have some jamming issues, but not a lot.
Very nice high goal mechanism, hope you do well at worlds!
It looks like 3:1 on 2.75 wheels rather than 3:5.
Great robot! Looks a lot like 254D’s
Questions…
- Can you pick up wall sacks fast?
- I see you can descore a trough well. Can you descore a full trough well (30+ objects).
See you at Worlds!
You mean 254D
That is what I meant
Thanks. Regarding our robot, we are running 2.75" wheels with 3:1 gear ratio and six 393 motors. We don’t go over sack since we built low to maintain a lower center of gravity but we can push then around. The Polycarbonate flaps are working out great for us.
Hope that cleared all your questions! Good Luck!
Thanks! Actually this robot was an improvement on our original robot and also inspired by our alliance Team 1509. Yes we can pick up the sacks from the wall but we don’t intend to. Yes we can descore a full trough and it takes about the same time as a moderately filled trough.
Here is a look at our old robot and our alliance Team 1509. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vheWjvk6phc
Hope that Helped!
I really like the robot. nice design
188A! Nice improvements, and slick driving. Will be cheering you on at worlds!
