How long did assembly take? How easy/difficult was it?
How much force is required to push the tri-balls under the goal? When the acorn goes in, does the goal bend, or does the foam depress?
Assuming you’re talking about the triballs and not the field tiles, they are made out of (very light) ABS plastic, not foam
Although I personally don’t have my field yet, I have heard from others that it doesn’t take that much force. From what I’ve heard 2 of the sides of the triball compress very easily and the other 2 don’t compress, and the PVC bends quite easily, so no matter the orientation it should go in pretty well
I was talking about the tiles. I was worried about whether the surface below the field could cause different behaviour from the tiles. thx for the insight.
U don’t need that much force to push under the net. Acorn - tri-balls are not bending, net pipe will bend when u push.
So after a while, will be net pipe be permanently deformed and the triballs can just easily go inside the goal?
Yes, there is a possibility. After we installed both the nets we found one side was little easier than other net.
Did you have trouble fitting the long bump bar across the middle of the field? Mine seems too short to anchor into the 3 standoffs on either side…
The curse of +/- 1" tolerance… lol…
Well, everybody complained about the rollers and how the screws literally destroyed the plastic pointers, and look where that got us! Wait, did that get us anywhere?
I remember in past games getting the bottom plate lined up correctly with tile tabs would be challenging - more so if multiple people are working on field setup.
Does that mean I should install the net bar higher by +1" vertically to make teams happy? I wouldn’t want my poles to bend
