Rings onto pole

Hi. I can attach pictures later, but I am having some issues getting the rings onto the pole. I have a design similar to 99999v’s, and we are still trying to master the rings. We need it to be flipout. the biggest issue we are currently having is the ring difference. The rings seem to go one way, and be fine, and yet every abt 4 rings, one launches in a different direction or something like that. Another issue we are having is that the rings, when they go in the conveyor in the direction where only 1 part of the ring is touching, they fall. I can show a picture if that makes no sense. I will take any tips or helping examples. Thank you for reading and helping!

i think i had a simpler issue. pictures would help. but on the curve/channel rings it in the conveyer don’t contact it in a area but would be too close in other areas is that your problem?

Rings are literally going to be the death for my team this year, as they’re really hard to tune and figure out. Try adding a tension axel or a standoff on the spots where you lack tension for the rings.

I’ve found through testing that having some amount of compliance on your conveyor really helps to reduce the erratic behavior of rings. The entire top of my conveyor is free to flex and bend up and down, and the stop for the rings at the top also involve flexible rubber links.

what we did is design the top of the scorer, or the part where the rings leave the conveyor, so that the only direction the ring can come out is the direction we wanted. Then we fine tuned and bent this section to adjust how the ring comes out and make it more consistent.

Sorry I took so long to reply. We are trying to do a rubber idea too. Thank you for the help!
