Rise Above Robot Ideas

probably going to do a 5 wheel 3 motor H drive with a reverse 4 bar lift and a chain lift on the back

By chain lift, do you mean like a chain elevator? If so, that was my original idea too! But let me give you a fair warning: It is very hard to tell without a field, but if you try to have something on each side of your bot, you will most likely knock down a bunch of Risers making the field just a cluttered mess.

yeah, i was going to make a chain elevator but i was thinking about having a divot on the side of my robot to extend when needed but that will probably require a lot of accuracy.

id do a dr4-6b on the front 3m tank drive with a booster wheel
and a one motor holder like backwards crews
on the dr4-6b i might wanna do a active intake and scrap a motor from something but thats what i think will be good for early season

I’m thinking something that PYRO did for Tower Takeover last year. 2m drive, 2m lift, 2m claw.

u need to be able to hold at lears two risers tho

yea it flips open with elastics

for rise above??

yea

i fail to see how pyros bot would be helpful
but thats just me i can be proved wrong

clamp the risers and stack them

where do u plan on clamping them

from the sides

thats realy wide u wil need a huge counter weight
and counterweights are kinda hard to do in iq

antitip?

yea possibly a combination what are the rules on expansion this year
i never read the whole manual i do edr now

I am doing vrc this year too. the manual says the 11x19x15 is only for starting area. it can expand out of that after the match starts

Does anyone have an idea on how you could pick up a tower thats fallen over on its side and place it or stack it standing straight up?

I think this video will help

Most hooks will allow the risers to flip upright as long as they aren’t too wide. Ref: 1:40 in this video
