Like how do you start to build the robots

If you are a new team looking for overall guidance - the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation with VEX Robotics is building up a knowledge base for all parts of the program (teams, coaches, volunteers, …) to help get started:
It is a resource that will continue to build up over time, much like the VEX Robotics Knowledge Base system as well:
For competition there are generally starting robot design for each season called HeroBots, which can accomplish the basic tasks needed for the current season’s challenge. For novice teams, it is a good place to start.
You can also read through VEXForum, which can be quite overwhelming (which is why I put the two resources above as starting points.)
Watching team tutorials on Youtube is great too! I have learnt a lot from teams over the years.

Perhaps give examples of your journey in robotics. This may help teams with your learning style thrive as well.

Honestly, just read the forums, and look at robot designs from actual companies. They can give you a lot of good ideas if you think correctly. Battle bots is sometimes a good place to get ideas too, if you’re thinking of doing some weird drive trains.
DONT RECOMMEND BATTLEBOTS TO NEW TEAMS AT ALL COSTS!!!’ WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!! Ive had too much experience with it
