Robot "Byte" only spins

Hello, my team just finished building the base of their “Byte” robot. When we tried to drive it, it would only spin. I already double-checked to see if they placed the motors correctly - according to the build instructions.

So, should I reinstall one of the motors (change its direction)? This doesn’t make sense because the Byte build should work correctly without modification… Or is there a way to change the controller settings? Every change I made to the controller settings still makes the robot spin (one side goes forward and the other goes in reverse). Is there something else I am missing?

This is our first year using GEN 2 robots.

Is there any code for the robot? Or are you just using default drive on the menu?

Hi @Tim_Bailey , and welcome to the community. Byte will not work with the default drive program, as the motors are configured incorrectly. Check out this article from the VEX Library, as it has the configured drivetrain to allow you to drive with a controller.
