I know that the robot events website has transferred over to a new layout and has encountered a few issues here and there that are still being fixed, but I have encountered an issue that I feel is a huge affecting factor for teams competing early in the fall semester. The robot events website is not showing team lists what soever no matter what event I check. I remember that the older website had a 4 week period where it showed you the team lists which showed us if we were registered or not. The robotevents website right now says how many teams are signed up, but does not provide any names. This is becoming a serious problem seeing how a team could think that they signed up, but it was actually another team that increased that number of teams.
If there is any issue that I feel the people who are trying to patch up robot events can fix, I feel that it is this one as it can become very frustrating.
I agree. Also, when you try to find out what teams are registered in your state, it shows a list of any team that was ever registered in the state. Both of these are huge issues that I hope can be fixed before tournament season. Teams need to do some pre-tournament scouting and without knowing which teams are in the tournament, this is impossible.
I think some of these may be chicken and the egg kinds of issues. They rolled out the site during the time when you don’t normally have teams registered so it may have been hard to see elements like this.
Let’s hope they can stay on top of these and fix them along the way now that we have teams and events showing up.
The user who registered your team for the competition can login and view all of the competitions your teams is registered to attend. Not ideal I know, but there is a way to check.
