Robot holding 2 balls?

Rapid relay Kickoff! -- Ben Lipper's first robot designs - YouTube
In Ben Lippers recent video he designed a robot claiming it could hold 2 balls. Is this legal?

This is indeed legal.

For any question about the legality of something, we must turn to the game manual (or the Official Q&A). As you read the game manual (https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/2024-2025/viqrc-rapid-relay/VIQRC-RapidRelay-0.1Release0503.pdf), keep in mind that the game manual tells you things that you must do, and things that you are prohibited from doing. It can’t tell you everything you might do, so if the game manual does not prohibit an action, then it is generally legal. The game manual does not generally discuss any particular game strategy or mechanisms you might use.

Yes it is legal but only 2 balls can be in play at any given time.

There is an ongoing Q&A about this tobic (it might have been you. IDK)
SG4 and AG5: Can one Robot possess both balls? : Robot Events

Thanks cause I read the manual and couldn’t find anything about it.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, i need some clarification on this issue of holding 2 balls.
Does it mean that if a robot is holding two balls, then the other robot is holding nothing and not playing?

While the robot has 2 balls then yes. That is not how it would be used thought as it would decrease points by a lot. A way this could be used to increase points is one team picking up 2 balls and then passing them both at once. Then the other team can shoot two balls at once if their robot allows.
