Robot Reveal

What do you guys think of my robot, it took me 3 months:

Very nice, great show of deep understanding of gearboxes (is that a 1:1 i spy?) great use of easily available vex parts, none of that fancy metal bending. Great idea for combining scoring and lifting, clearly you can score low and high goals from right at the goal post. Not even my design can do both at close range. Lightweight, accelerates quickly and can shift well. Can you tell me if it is a speed of torque drive? I can really learn a lot from a design like this! Also I noticed that you robot is very small, slows it to slip in tight spaces and just juke other robots, I fear facing you

Obviously torque, so that we can shove around the other robots.

Sooooooo… This has been done before.
8505x’s reveal
Less than a month ago I might add.

Small robot and high torque? A real threat! You can even flip the competition!

And? Flywheels have been done before, does not stop 90% of all teams from using them. No idea is original, you have to give them credit, the amount of effort into making that… This robot far outclasses 8505’s

This beast looks just like one https://vexforum.com/t/excuse-i-want-to-ask-to-you-some-question/16356/1 . Are you guys thinking of alliancing at worlds? If I remember correctly, you’re ranked first in robot skills. And please try not to crush us at worlds.

Such great engineering skills required! I shudder to imagine these two little devils flipping us in autonomous and only scoring once! That would be the fantastic to watch.

I don’t think we can do anything to stop them. All we can do is watch in horror.

I know! Maybe we can use a ratchet to make a system to flip our robot with the launcher motors! But then they could have 1 robot flip and 1 score…Whatever can we do?

BREAK THE RULES!!!

After thinking hard, I have found a counter!

Use a robot with pistons to jump into a corner and stay there for the whole game

Really? how? Add rockets? Lasers? Make a battlebots-style robot?

Lets do it!

Battle-bots style. Release the blade.

I always knew…One team had to make a trollbot. Like a wallbot but more fun than sitting around doing nothing…

127c makes a really cool defensive bot every year (except this year). Last year they made a bot with an 8 motor x-drive that would expand 3x its size horizontally. It was really fun to watch, except when you had to go up against it.

I think everyone is missing an important point… this robot only uses 4 motors! With what this robot can already achieve, I can’t even dare to imagine what the full potential of this design is going to be.

I think 1417 made a wallbot for tossup! It had a secondary scoring bot and a minibot that was tooo cute! I loved watching how people think outside the box for their designs. Seeing 20 different flywheels is boring. Maybe a thrower, works like a person throwing a Frisbee? Or maybe a robot that expands to cover up high goals and makes low goals harder? What about a toss, up style robot where it hangs instead of lift (the alliance would have a 18 inch tall tower with a swing out hook)?

Yea, 10 motor drive and 2 motor lift and arm! Could really bully some bigger robots. Maybe even a 9 motor arm geared for torque?
