I have a question, I don’t know if this is true. I was told that the points you had in the Programming Skills and Robot Skills added to your points in the tournament. Is this true?
No. Each of the Skills events are completely separated from each other, and each challenge is OPTIONAL to any team that is interested in competing in them. They in no way have an impact on the scoring in the qualification matches.
Please read the game manual for any further clarifications. Sections 5 and 6 describe the skills challenges.
