Robot works with cable but not wirelessly

Brand new kit
When the controller is connected to the robot via a cable the robot can go forward/backward etc.
The controller will not connect wireless to the robot
swapped keys, swapped controllers, changed batteries with no different result

What else do you suggest to troubleshoot? Change out the brain?

Thanks for taking the time to contact us.
Do you have the VEXnet Key 1.0 or 2.0?

If 2.0, what I recommend is to update your system using the firmware we have listed in our website. This means, you will have to install in your PC the following firmware update utilities:

VEXnet Firmware Upgrade Utility 4.1.5
VEXnet Key 2.0 Firmware Upgrade Utility V 3.0

Once they are installed in your PC, let me know and I can go in further details.

My team had this problem. I followed all suggestions mentioned here, but nothing worked.
Later in the settings i noticed that the ‘Radio data’ setting was OFF
I turned it on, recalibrated the controller and the issue was resolved.

@itsanu. Mate this thread has been ignored for 5 years. It is considered impolite to revive a thread that hasn’t been posted on for more than a few months. If you have a question, then you should make a new thread. No need to revive an ancient one. Appreciate you trying to help, but this is a pretty old thread. There is a good chance that the original poster doesn’t even do Vex anymore. @DRow could we please get a lock?
