Today I was trying to rearrange windows in the RobotC environment, and now the environment loads briefly, then immediately closes.
Uninstalling/reinstalling the program didn’t solve the issue. I saw that pressing “Delete all registry values” could solve the issue, but I’m unable to do that since the program just crashes upon starting.
I am on RobotC for Vex Robotics 4.X.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Welcome to the forums. Have you considered switching to VexCode? RobotC is pretty old. Still works for Gen 1 IQ, but if doing this for VRC you should use VexCode or PROS.
You are probably going to need to use regedit to clear the robotc registry entries.
(only do this if you have some familiarity with doing this type of thing).
TBH running RobotC in Win11 environments has issues. Have you thought about creating a small VM that runs Win7 / Win10 and using that has your home for the RobotC environment? VM are pretty easy to set up and run. Or just buy an older laptop, force to be Win 10 and just use it.
