ROBOTC: Setting a 269 motor to be a 393 in the motor setup

I tried setting a 269 motor to be a 393 motor in the motors and sensors setup for ROBOTC. Would that be okay?

There is no real problem, but the ides of the prama config at the top of your code is other than use in the code, but to help you wire your cortex, so when you see my code, the motors/servos are named, and the type of motor or servo is there so I know that I have set it up correctly

But it won’t damage your motor, I don’t think …

It has an effect if you are using an integrated motor encoder on the motor as each type of IME has a different number of encoder counts per rpm. If you do not have any IMEs then theoretically it does not matter but you may as well set it correctly.
