Hello all,
My team would like to know if using nylon rope or nylon twine similar to that used in the winch kit from vex would be legal to use on the robot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes nylon rope is legal, I can’t remember in what diameter.
Absolutely!
Certain non-VEX EDR components are allowed. Robots are allowed the following additional “non-VEX” components:
e. An unlimited amount of 1/8” (or local metric equivalent), braided, nylon rope
-from the Game Manual.
