Rotators can move up, but not when in contact with purple blocks. How to fix?

Hi there,

We have a robot with 4 rotator intake system. Attached rotators with 1’s so they can move up and down. When rotator comes into contact with a purple block, the rotators stop moving(don’t move up). How to fix ?

They need to be able to move in and out to let the wider purple blocks move up.

I am very confused. If you could provide photos, that would be incredibly useful for helping you.

This is a really good way to do it, I’ve seen a lot of teams do this with standoffs and rubber bands or just some 1x’s.
If not, just use the linear motion kit to make the flywheel physically go up.

The intake rollers should be supported by 1x beams on the sides at an angle (2 on each sides). In take also need to be supported by rubber band on the sides (stretched position). If you share a pics of your intake, I can provide some pointers.

Thanks for all of your help guys. Thankfully, we were able to fix the issue. Our robot brain was running at low battery, so the motors weren’t spinning fast enough to pick up purple. Once we charged it to 100%, it worked. Thanks for all of your help everyone!
