RSC5 Explanation - Any Observations

So it’s been a while since RSC5 was clarified. (To allow any scoring items the robot is controlling to be placed in an y non scoring position on the field when the robot is manually repositioned )

Has anyone observed this being strategically used in competition?

I explained the ruling to my lead programmer and she refuses to take advantage of it. She is determined she can do it without that. She’s stubborn like her Dad.

My programmers are going to leverage RSC5 this Saturday, I’ll see if they get away with it.

I’m curious to hear how it goes. Do they already score the green cubes?

yes, they score both lower green cubes, although they pick up the bot and move it to the other starting position after scoring the first cube.

Things get interesting when they go to score the two near red/blue cubes.

Mine score the green cubes the same way… score one then move the robot to the other starting position to score the other.

Their robot is a 4 bar in the front and an elevator in the back. So their next step plan is to take a blue cube with one end, reverse down the field, grab the red cube, do a 180, score the blue cube and then go back down the field and try to score the red cube.

LOL, straight out of our play book!
