Hi,
we are trying to replace the large rubber bands for the catapult mechanism used in the Herobot Swish instructions. The instructions only state “large rubber bands” when clicked. I’m unsure which rubber bands to order to replace them and ensure that they are competition legal? They seem to be 1/8" wide. Would these be the 117B bands? Those most often seem to come in 1/4" width though.
Any input on this would be appreciated.
I’m pretty sure that the thick rubber bands for swish are only in the competition kit.
The large rubber bands are 117B, they work just fine. If you are worried about inspection, just keep the label off of the bag that says “117b” on them. A quick search on Amazon shows 117B are 7" x 1/8 (0.13)"
I thought thoes rubber bands were 170 rubber bands?

Specs on the bands is:
107 7" x 5/8" 0.065" thick 40 bands per pound
Thank you so much! It looks like those are #170 bands, since they need to be 1/4" thickness and none of the Vex bands on the homepage show that width.
Thank you for confirming that the #170 are now legal. The width on the Swish catapult bands is 1/4" thick. Really appreciate the help!
