The rubber bands on my shooter keep snapping after a match.
I think it is because of the rubber band constantly rubbing against a corner of the mechanism.
do you guys have any solutions or example to make the corner smoother?
I have tried using a grinder to smoothen it out but it keeps snapping
You can rotate the c-channel if possible so the natural corner (between the center and side flange) rubs against it. You can also put some curved polycarb or bend a 1x5 steel bar and put it there to smoothen out the turn.

Depending on how you robot is built, you may be able to put standoffs between the corner and the rubber bands, which gives them a smooth, rounded surface to roll on.

You could zip-tie mesh around the rubber bands on the part where the rubber bands rub. Just an idea.

Edit: a picture would really help us out too.
