Please note CA has a use tax on some goods purchased that sales tax isn’t paid on. Also, please note there have been legal issues related to deliberately purchasing items in a state to not pay sales tax and then driving them to another state to use. So… pm would be a much better way to discuss…
You may owe use tax on purchases you made from out-of-state or Internet sellers. Use tax is similar to the sales tax paid on purchases you make in California. You may report use tax on your income tax return instead of filing a use tax return with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.
