UPDATE: Ok, the forums, gallery, code and CAD repositories have all been upgraded to their latest code. Please let me know if you notice any weird issues due to the upgrade, and I’ll try to get them fixed ASAP.
The VEX Forums will be offline Thursday morning (July 31) for a few hours (starting at 9 AM Central) for scheduled maintenance. The forum, VEX gallery, and VEX Code repository are all being upgraded to their newest version(s).
Could you widen the page (make it fill more of the broweser)? The page has a rather squashed look right now.
We are currently in the process of redesigning the header for the VEX site (which appears above the forums). A result of that redesign will be the widening of the forums a bit, making the portal a little less cluttered. Bear with us …
If you can, make the headers fit the page. I run my Browser in less than Full Screen on a 1280x1024 Monitor, and the Current Page Width for VexForums is perfect.
I don’t know if this is something that will get changed but the Image browser on the front page seemed to work a lot better on the left side than above the list of threads, now there is a lot of empty space on the left side of the page.
Agreed, but I do love the new profile pages and some AJAX support around the site!
This is only temporary – it will return to the left side soon. The plug-in for the portal we use was broken, so this was all I could do for now.
it doesnt seem like there was a change in heading or any thing here?
so what happened?
Thanks for the heads up, MarkO. They should be fixed now.
Two things, 1. On the main menu bar the Log Out link sticks out of the borders of the page, 2. Image Gallery on portal page is above new posts. I liked it when it was on the side, but maybe I can change it somewhere.
This is an idea, not a problem, but it would be nice to be able to drag and drop the homepage items around.
Thanks Brandon! Awesome forum site again.
